    Hi,
I'm moving to Brisbane in August and moving to Cooparoo. On arrival I will be seeking work in youth work or residential childcare. I have my youth and community work degree and have 2 years experience, 1 year at management level in residential care care that specialises in young people mental health.

Just wondering if anyone else on the forum is doing this work or knows some that is and can give me an idea of what I can expect? how many jobs there are? and anything I need to know having only worked in the UK in this sector!

    Any comments welcome,
    Cheers
    Leswan

    Hi Welcome to LIQ,

I would suggest you take a look at "seek.com" that is one of the major job sites, also if you are moving here in August I would suggest you start getting your CV to companies that may need your skills, If they know you are on your way you could be offered interviews or contact details for when you get here. I am not sure how many on PIQ are actually in your line of work but if you look at our sister site www.pomsinoz.com you should come across others in your field. They may not be in QLD but it could give you some idea what to expect.
