Hi ladies and gents!

I hope you're all well :biggrin:

Having lived in Adelaide for a while (I've been here on and off for about 7 months, my partner is born and bred here), my partner and I are moving up to Brisbane mid-March. Neither of us have ever lived there before, so we're looking forward to exploring and meeting some new friends!

I'm a massive fan of these forums (I used Poms in Adelaide to meet some fantastic people when I first arrived here in January 2011), so I thought I would hop on here and see if anyone's up for a get together.

A little bit about us: I'm 30 years old, Welsh and I love live music (any type) and generally being sociable, I enjoy nice restaurants (when I can afford them!) and love meeting new people from all walks of life. My partner is 28 (I'm a cradle snatcher, I know ha ha), he's into dirt bikes and down hill mountain biking (totally different to just 'mountain biking', so I'm told). We're both quite active and love trying new sports - last year we did sea kayaking, which we loved and wakeboarding and water skiing (which we weren't so good at, but still enjoyed).

I'm also looking to find some sort of Boot Camp in Brisbane - the one I currently go to in Adelaide is fantastic and I'm really going to miss it, so if anyone can recommend one then please do let me know.

Drop me a message if you fancy a drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic, I don't mind), some food and a chat once we arrive.
We don't have any kids of our own but we're used to being around them thanks to our fair share of nieces and nephews and we both love animals (dogs, cats, etc, the fluffier and friendlier, the better)...I've just realised that I'm really begining to sound desperate! Ha ha - I promise you I'm not, well, ok, maybe just a little bit

if you do not have any look finding a Meet up, then I suggest you take a look at PIO (www.pomsinoz.com) if you are not already a member, There is a large Brisbane contingency on there who arrange meet ups,.

Hi karen , my son and his g/f are arriving in OZ 17th april . they are flying up to the Goldcoast 20th april , so if you would like to meet up for a coffee and chat with them jst message me , we are from wales , uk my son is 26 and his g/f is 20 yrs , mayb they bit younger , but could become friends .

I AM NOT IN OZ YET BUT HOPING TO BE SOON! I AM NEW TO THIS SITE AND WAS LOOKING THROUGH AND FOUNDYOU. IM HAVING A DILEMEA I M NOT SURE TO MOVE TO ADELAIDE OR QUEENSLAND (GOLD COAST AREA) SINCE YOU HAVE LIVED IN ONE AND ARE MOVINGTO THE OTHER I THOUGHT YOU COULD OFFER A LITTLE ADVICE, HOPE YOU DONT MIND.
