Whitehaven Beach (In the World's Top Ten Beaches!)

We just got back from the Whitsunday Islands (not far from Mackay - Mainland)
Thought I would let you 'Brits in Brisbane' know what is just 1hr 40mins flight away!!

Ohh my god !!!!

You see that is why we are coming over to oz....why do we waste our bloody lives over here, living to pay our mortgages in drab grafiti ridden citys (well lots of Sheffield is anyway ). We struggle to get outdoors, and find things that don't cost the earth to do as a family together...when you have all this...

I wonder if pople over there take this for granted !!! I will certanly not...ever...never not at all... and for my first holiday when we come over I am going here.. LOL

I am so excited...I have butterflies...in fact I think my other half is off to hide the passports or I will be there now !!!

We have been to Hamilton island (well, landed there) and also Long Island in the Whitsundays. It is so lovely! We stayed at the long island resort and the internet web site pics were spot on!!

 

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG. I have just looked at those amazing photos while being sat at my desk at work. I want to be there!

 

I have been to port willungs beach in south australia and i think its a much nicer beach :biggrin:
