  1. Hi
I was planning on migrating to Perth in June. However, work seems a bit scarce there and so I am now thinking Brissie!
Firstly, what is the job market like for accountants and also, what are the best websites for temporary accommodation and also, what suburbs are best for starting off?
I am a 33 year old woman migrating alone so I would like to be somewhere perhaps where I am not too isolated!!!! Any ideas?!

  2. my advice to you would be not to worry too much. Get some references ready for when you come and rent an apartment close to the city for about 4 to 6 weeks. In that time you can find somewhere more permanent. We tried estate agents but also scanned the papers for private ads and phoned round. We found the private rentals better than the estate agents. There is much demand for rentals via the agents. Just make sure you get a rental agreement (there should be one by law). Houses are great but renting can be expensive. Like the UK , depends what time of property and area you are looking for. Lots of luck to you.

  3. meant to say try web site called Not one nite. You will get a cheaper deal for short rentals e.g a month. during that time it gives you a chance to find somewhere more permanent.

I agree - I would find something short term near the area where you think you might like to be and then take your time looking around for something more permanent.

Brisbane is an excellent choice :)
