Hi all!
We will be in Brisbane in October and are planning our move so we need some advice please to know what to pack/send across.
It might be a silly question but; do we need coats, fleeces, quilts for the beds???? We realise its hot, hot, hot but, does it get cold that we need a coat and quilts on our beds? Do we need outdoor coats re: cold or waterproofs for the rain or both? Is it too hot for jeans? Any other advice on what to bring would be good!

As i replied on PIO, bring everything dont do as i did and think Oz is too warm for that,lol.
Winter gets pretty darn chilly ,i have worn jeans and fleeces for the past couple of months and doubt the shorts will be out for another few weeks yet.

You will be amazed at how quickly 25 degrees feels decidedly chilly LOL! No seriously though, do bring all your warm stuff, it can get cold in the winter - especially over night.

Thanks Cal, I did not know if we should bring the kids and our winter coats and if we would use them, the same with our 13.5 tog quilts!!! I would rather give them to a charity shop here before we leave than take them and have no use for them. We have decided to bring everything, I may leave my duffel coat and wool overcoat (lol) what do you think??????

Thanks Fred, it hardly ever gets to 25 degrees here in the UK so I guess we will be sweating a lot!!!!!!

 

You probably wont need heavy thick coats, but thinish fleecey ones will certainly come in handy next winter. Another thing i wish i had brought was the kids wellies!!!
I would bring the duvet, they are quite expensive to buy here and that will be great for those cold winter nights.
