Televisions fall into 3 types, Newer ones may be able to automatically detect they are in Australia and tune in and set up automatically. Other may have the ability to change country in their set up program and choosing Germany can make them work. If all else fails you can connect them by using an Australian freeview set top box / satellite connection / or cable connection. If you are using a container bring them as it will not cost any more and if all else fails you can throw them away.

Normal tv in Australia is really bad and hard to watch cos there are SO MANY adverts! Had to go with Austar to enjoy a film etc

  4. I can't see any reasons why your TV wouldn't work here. Same voltage as in Europe. You'll just need to get a new power supply cable as the wall plugs are different to what they are in the UK and the rest of Europe. The main difference is, unfortunately, in the quality of the programs! :(

  5. Check out Optus' TV offer. They have a box that connects to your TV and allows to record/pause live tv while recording 2 other programs thanks to its 3 tuners and 1 terabyte hard drive! There's at any time a selection of 30 movies to watch for free and the ability to rent new releases. We have it and love it.
