Hi - found out yesterday that hubbie got the job he went for in Toowoomba to we should be there about mid July!

We have done alot of research but wondered if anyone can tell me anything about it?!

Also does Oz have certain "dog walking" parks or can dogs go anywhere but on a lead??

    Thanks

    Hi,

I used to live in Goondiwindi, that is two hours away from Toowoomba and used to visit there regularly to do a "Big Shop", Toowoomba is at the top of a range of Hills / mountains and tends to be cooler than surrounding towns and does not normally suffer with the humidity that you can find in Brisbane and other towns. Winters can be cool and you can expect frost at times. summers are pleasantly hot without normally being over bearing. The shopping in the city is all you can expect it to be with all major shops in the CBD.

You are around 2 hours from Brisbane and 4 hours from the coast. There are some very nice places to visit around Toowoomba, but its not the place to live if you want to spend a lot of time on the beach and surf. There are some nice properties around Toowoomba and on its outskirts you can find some large properties at reasonable prices.

Congratulations on the job offer and lots of luck with your plans.
Have a look at the Toowoomba council wensite for info on dog registration, dog parks etc

Hanbo, how are you liking Toowoomba so far? My family and I will be arriving October 2013 and are interested to hear you thoughts.
