Just starting the long wait, We are the clancy family, Im 38 my wife is 37 and our two gorgeous daughters are 12 and 9.
Yet another Plumber/Gas fitter so will be on those threads soon with endless questions :wub:
Great to have these forums, Makes you wonder how people got by before the internet.

Im kind of umm,ing and arr,ing about posting a string or questions about the new visa points situation but holding off till new list is out,
just hope they dont downgrade my skill to much, ( plumber/gas fitter)
alot of nervous applicants out there at the mo i guess.
Also been trying to find where to watch wdu, your episode, would be good to put a face to the name.

Your occupation sure has it hard over here with the licencing,, do as much research as you can prior to coming so you know what awaits you.

Not sure about watching WDU, can you get it on BBC IPlayer?

Yes have seen i got a fair bit of bridging training to do if i get that far, have heard it's 8 months at college no matter what skills you bring with you.
guess i wont be able to work for a while, will almost be like an 8 month holiday, how will i cope )
( kev adds jet ski to shopping list ) oh well, never expected it ALL to be fun fun fun lol.

I have got one gripe tho, about the fee's my agent is charging, am sure by comparison im being well and truly ripped off, was going to post a thread about changing agents at some point but almost to embarrassed to air it.

You should be able to get a job before your licence come through, the last 2 plumbers ive known have.(sorry for bursting the bubble,lol) You just cant work unaccompanied.

Agents fees vary,also bear in mind when some people quote their agents fee they arent including the skills recognition or actual visa application fee.
However if you still think your paying way over the top it is possibe to change agents and if your serious about doing so let me know and i will get you the info on what to do.
