Hiya ,Sunny coast is beautiful ,Kawana Waters is lovely for familys as is Caloundra, although Caloundra is too pricey and a bit touristy,Pelican Waters is another area you hear lots about and it seems to be devolping quite quickly.Do you want to be near the beach? ,inland ?etc ,as alles says the only downside with the sunny coast is work.It can be hard to find work up there and the motorway at rush hour is a nightmare.hope this helps a bit

    Hi

I live in Little Mountain in Caloundra.
There are children out playing here all day long!!! Perfect for families!
Our boys are all grown up so we will be moving out of the suburb in September.
I really do recommend it as a place for families.

hi i live on the sunny coast as do some of my friends who are all members of poms! i havent heard of any one finding it hard to get a job as yet i suppose it must depend on what you do? i know jo's hubby travels into brisbane and doesnt have a major prob with the traffic and i have been backwards and forwards to brissy on several occasions (to ikea lol) and i cant say the traffic has been really bad unless there has been an accident which happened once and everyone literally STOPPED and had a nosey im surprised they didnt get a picnic out!!!

it is a beautiful place i live in the hinterlands a place called beerwah we are in the glasshouse mountains and have wonderful views on eitherside of beerwah is landsborough and glasshouse itself both quaint little towns - i viewed a few houses in glasshouse the other day they all backed on to the national park and all you could hear was the birds chirping it was sooooo peaceful and lovely!

we are only 20 mins from the beach and they are amazing.

on the other hand kawana is a bit more lively as is caloundra it is pricey if you want to live right on the coast and you wont get as much for your money but if you come inland a little you can get some right bargains!!

if you want to know any more just give me a shout and if i dont know i will know someone that does!!

    xx

    Hi there...
Yep my husband travels to Brisbane everyday and has never since December been stuck in traffic...I of course travel all over as I have just started up a relocation business with Chelle..
The Sunshine Coast has so much to offer families, beautiful beaches, stunning countryside...Kawana is very nice but the houses are all so close together..it is a newish area formerly known as Birtinya...
Caloundra and Mooloolaba are close by and Noosa just an hour away...Eumundi Markets are just the best
Our children are 13 and 16 and absolutely love the lifestyle here..We come from quite a large town in England and I was a little worried about it being to quiet for the children here but they have come on in leaps and bounds..Little Mountain, Buderim, Perigian Springs are all beautiful..The Sunshine Coast is growing by the day and I am sure you wont be disappointed..We even have a Wet n Wild Theme Park coming soon...Australia Zoo is on hand and wow what an amazing place it is...All of this and still so close to Brissy
Please do give us a shout if you need any more info on the sunshine coast and surrounding areas
    Jo x

For traffic wise, remember that it depends on the time of the day that you travel to work. Sometimes as little as 20 mins can make a HUGE difference on the road!! Bruce Highway has its good and bad points. You alwyas hear about the same areas on the travel news every day! We are actually on the western side of Brissie , about an hour from the Sunny Coast and we love it
