    Hi there.

We are new to this site, we've been here on the coast over 2yrs and our best mates just moved back to the UK (Silly beggers).
We just wondered if there are any famillies out there that fancy meeting up for a drink, our kids are 8 and 16yrs.

    Paula.

    Hi Paula,

We move out to brisbane on the 31st July and will keep an eye out for a meet up to make friends, we also have 2 girls aged 8 & 17 (older 1 coming back to uk for another yr for college after validating her passport), whats Buderim like as ive been looking at houses there and like the look of it, any info would be helpful - does your 8yr old like school etc..

  6. Hi we are still in uk but have had residency since 2005. Aiming to move out to the sunshine coast by end of dec 2008. Kids are 5 and 11. We spent some timearound caloundra and we are looking to rent in that area. I have also looked at property prices in Caboolture that appear to be alot cheaper.

Can anyone give me advise on specific areas to look to initially rent and an update on what caboolture is like. Thanks Karina

    Here in Glass House Mountains

Hi, We are in Glass House Mountains, have a son of 17 and a daughter of 4 (don't ask). We moved from Lancashire in Feb 2008 and are settling in well. Our son is finding it difficult to socialise as he works full time for a one man band. Does anyone have any suggestions? Many thanks, Dave & Michelle.

    Hi Dave & Michelle,
Glad to hear your settling in well, what is the social evening life like around that area for 17/18yr olds ? Is your son just too tired to go out at night to meet people or is there not much going on where you are ? Am interested as i have a 17yr old daughter. Hope your son manages to make friends b4 it gets to him, could he not get an eveing job at week-ends at a bar or grill ? I know he probably works hard enough through the day !!:smile:eek:r maybe join a gym or some sort of sport ? not sure if any of this will be of any help but just felt a connection with the worry of teenage years

Hi Paula, I know this is an old post, but are you still in Buderim? I moved here with hubby and 15 yr old daughter, 6 months ago. I would live to meet up for a coffee sometime.
