  1. My husband and I set up accounts with Westpac before we moved. Unfortunately we have had nothing but problems with Westpac since we arrived and are fed up. Suncorp seem to offer some services we like but were wondering what they were like to actually bank with.

Never banked with Suncorp but I have not heard anything bad about them. I use ANZ and found them to be good, but not exceptional, I have had a couple of arguments with them..they used to charge me $5 a month service fee on my account until I told them I was moving to another bank.

I think the biggest problem with the banking system in Australia is that they tend to make decisions and customers just go along with it. I think they find it strange when someone from the UK goes in and argues with them, I have found its normally the immigrants who get the best deals because we tend to say no, more than the Australians do with banking.

Myself and hubby both have accounts with Suncorp , we also use them for the majority of our insurance policys. We have been with them about 3 years and never had an issue, i cant really fault them.
We also use ANZ and they too have been fantastic.

    g'day,

Become a Queenslander and bank with Suncorp!! They are rated for their service. As are Heritage, who are a building society. Bank with them for while and you could get better rates on a mortgage. srp has said it. The banks have it fairly all sewn up. Complain and you might get something back. If you don't ask.........
