I was just wondering if there are any British NVQ level 3 trained stonemasons out there in Queensland and if so if you could please give me some pointers for my husband. We are finding it really difficult to find out what salary he could expect in Oz and also if there is current demand and jobs available. Even though he is on the skilled occupation list we have heard of plenty of people who have been unable to get work in their chosen trade. My husband currently owns his own business here in the UK so it looks like we will actually be worse off financially if we move to Oz which I can't say my husband is happy about....but there's more to life right?! We just don't do anything here in the UK so I think in terms of lifestyle this will dramatically improve if we move.

Ideally my husband would be happiest in a job which would enable him to work as a stonemason but also supervise others as that's what he's been used to with his business here.

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.
