  4. Thanks fred, but i've managed to sort a little place out. Paramount apartments, kangaroo point. Decided to stay central to brisbane and then venture out into the suburbs. If anyone can advise us on where to visit with regards to our future that would be really appreciated.

Hi Adele, just wondered what line of work you and you partner are looking for and how far you would be prepared to commute each day. Would you be looking to work in the city ? Brissy has some real nice areas, some coastal, others more inner suburban. I personally love the Redcliffe area but sadly I would have to travel too far to my work.
By the way Kangaroo Point is a good place to stay.

    Regards
    Don

I like the Bulimba area , reasonably priced rentals and homes and easy access to all city ammenities and city cat.

  7. we used a site called Not one nite. provides you with a list of all places to stay but gets you a discount for longer stays. We found a nice apartment near South Bank which was ideal for the first month until we had found somewhere more permanent to live. Good Luck.
