I'm a Scot who moved to Brissie 11 years ago and know how tough it can be to get settled in the first couple of months, mainly trying to get good, reasonably priced accommodation when your furniture is still on the ship and no idea of where you want to live!

My husband John and I have a beautiful home in Wellington Point (Brisbane's Bayside) and now that my daughter has left home the house is too big for us. I am exploring helping Brits to settle into the area by offering them somewhere nice to stay temporarily till they "find their feet".

Our house has a pool and is like a lovely wee resort. We have a spare double room with aircon and a single room. I've been very lucky to meet lots of expats who were absolutely fantastic in helping us get settled and would love to do the same for anyone who would like to give me a call.

Hi, I am looking for somewhere to stay short term and arriving in Brisbane on the 11th February, have a hotel booked for the 1st week.
I will be coming over by myself and looking for work in the IT industry.
My wife and daugther plan to come over as some as I have found a job.

Don't worry, you'll get used to the TV eventually.....when I go back to the UK now I think the TV over there is crap LOL.
