Hello everybody,

I hope you're well and enjoying the wonderful Brisbane climate. Well not today but ususally it's glorious!

I moved here from Scotland two months ago and would love to meet up with people who are going through the process themselves and have a beer and a blether.

If you're out there and fancy a couple of drinks with fellow Scots, lets arrange something. I know there have been similar posts recently but they don't seem to have come to anything. It'd be great to hear the accent!

Not Scottish myself, but I have met some lovely, lively Scottish people recently. The families I know have young children and are involved with The Brisbannittes Facebook Group. They are a friendly bunch and would make you feel very welcome. Look them up but watch the spelling as it often catches people out. They spell it as I have written it here.

Hi Jen,

Like you, I"ve just moved in April and I'm down the Gold Coast.

I also joined the BBC (Brisbane British Club) and they seem to organise regular events. There is one on Saturday 30th April at the Pig and Whistle, 123 Eagle Street, Brisbane at 1.00 pm.
It's a St Georges Day event but it's a chance to meet folk??

Maybe see you and any other Scottish families there??

Meeting up

Hi Jen,

I've moved to QLD in April. Currently in Gold Coast and I also joined the BBC (Brisbane British Club). There is an event on at the Pig & Whistle,123 Eagle Street, Brisbane on Saturday 30th April at 1.00pm. It's a St Georges Day event but it's also a chance to meet other expats. I'm going as I'm here on my own at the moment, with the rest of the family still back in Scotland.

Might be worth a blast????
