    Hi All,

Well it's snowing in England today, although it hasn't quite reached us in Suffolk yet, so we are all the more excited about arriving in Redcliffe next week. We are pretty well sorted for accommodation for the first few weeks but have heard that it can be difficult to secure a long-term rental that accommodates pets.

We pick up our German Shepherd from Sydney on 21st Nov, and hope to have a rental secured by that time. Like most people we've trawled the websites and seen loads of properties that are 'pet negotiable' or 'pets on application', but can anyone let me know if they have experienced problems in securing a place and, if so, how they eventually managed.

Or...does anyone on this forum have a 3-bed property in a N.Brisbane suburb to let out that would accept a very clean and house trained German Shepherd bitch?

    Hiya
Dont worry too much as i have always managed to secure a pet friendly rental when i needed one, just avoid brand new homes. Even if it says no pets ,still ask you may be surprised. If you can bring any pet refernces they may help but arent overly important. You will have to have a pest spray alongwith a carpet clean when you vacate and some will say he can live i the garage and outside only but when you see how many people have pets out here im sure you will understand why i say dont worry.
    good luck
