If this keeps up I will be fishing from the balcony! prefer a good thunderstorm, like to see the lightening over the bay makes the rain worthwhile.

    Hi cal,
It does seem that we may have had a drop or two of rain last night.
The storm drains outside our place are overflowing, they drain into the sea, but as its high tide at the moment they are just filling up and overflowing. Once the sea starts to go out I am hoping the drains will clear and I will be able to see what the tarmac road looks like again.

    Rain

We are on the GC at Coombabah and it has been raining loads - or should I say heaps?! I love it because it cools the place down nicely, is a rest from the sun, keeps everything green (in SA it all just turns to dust), reminds me of home - except the temps are still 20+oc - it's perfect. All the Ozzies are moaning about the weather and I have a big grin on my face. Can you imagine how much they would moan if they lived in the UK!!!!!!!!! I mean we have only been having showers and storms for the last few weeks - the rain has set in for the last two days. What if they had 9+months of that with really cold temps - then they would have something to moan about. The radio presenters have also been talking it up as if the world has ended, very dramatic.

I can do you a great special offer right now,, as much as you want free of charge, lol
send me some containers and ill get bucketing it for you,,lol

I actually think its criminal when you see how much water goes to waste here because of poor or no good road drainage. I had to backwash the pool today as it was overflowing, makes me want to cry when i think that come Dec i will be screaming at the kids not too splash as we need the water!!! lol

We were chatting to some Adelaideans when we were there and were very surprised at the lack of water retainment facilities around the place, especially given the droughts.

    UK weather

    Hi Pommypaul,
Over hear in Scotland, from Dec - March we have had the worst cold snap for 30yrs .
Would swap your weather for our weather anyday. we are used to the rain most of our lifes over here ,it's constant & when we do get the sun it's only for a few days here & there & that's not even in our summer :( , Get wait to get some rays when over in Brizzy in Sep 10. :)
