    Hi all,

My teenage daughter and I started our Queensland adventure in 2005. Arriving on a Prospective Marriage Visa which has since been 'upgraded' to a Spouse Visa Sub Class 820, and is due to be made permanent in July 08 (though I've heard it can take a few months, so hopefully by Crimbo we'll have PR status)

We applied for the visas ourselves and I'm more than happy to offer any help I can to those starting out on the journey and share the experiences & challenges we've had since coming here.

    Cheers,

    SP

    Hey Cal,

    Thanks for your message :)

We're a few clicks north of the City, Newmarket/Windsor area. We love the area, 20 min hop on the bus into CBD/Southbank (a tad longer in rush hour), same to Stafford and Chermside shopping centres, cinemas etc. I've not heard of Jimboomba, what's it like?

Glad to hear you're loving life here, we are too, Oh, and thanks for the good luck with the PR. I've heard it's a breeze compared to the other stages (less paperwork needed etc yay!) :)

    Take care,

    SP

I relocated a family to Albany Creek a few weeks ago ,must say i was quite impressed with the place. We are about 45 mins south from the city behind Mt tamborine and the gold coast hinterland. It was a rural area thats built up so quickly we are still on target to become a town by 2010 and property is still reasonable.Have you decided where to go whilst your Pr is granted? p[resuming you have to leave the country that is
