We have been in Adelaide for 4 years and it is our home. However, I had trouble finding a job after being in contract for 4 years, and am not really settling into my new position as well as I'd like. Send emails and never get a reply or reaction, arrange breakfast with free doughnuts for all at 8.30 and one person rocks up, even the boss didn't turn up or even apologise despite the fact he accepted an invitation... cheerful lot!! Way more environmental consultancy jobs advertised in Brissie and better weather to be out in...

Daughter wants a career in opera and the vocal dept at Queensland Con is much stronger than Adelaide Con. It has a dedicated opera school.

Been to Brissie once for a week's conference and went to Dreamworld and Lamington Park. Heading back to the park, and bringing friends with us who haven't been there. Any ideas of where else we shouldn't miss, and what might be on in the way of live entertainment appreciated. The record shop has the largest collection of classical CDs in Australia, so will try not to bring my credit card in there...

We're planning a reccie in mid-April for 4 days (thursday to Sunday).
