Hi,

Myself, husband and baby daughter Ava who is 11 months have just moved to Brissie from the UK. We're loving it already! We've secured a house to rent in the Morningside area, and we now need to start thinking about a nursery for Ava, for when we are both up and running with work. (We'll probably just need 2 or 3 days a week)

Just wondering if anyone had any experiences of nurseries around this area - is it easy to get a place? Any info would be really appreciated!

Hi a quick Google shows up a couple of ABC centres,,, my daughter attended an ABC ctr and she loved it.
There is also a independant one ,,this link will show you were they are. I would suggest a trip around them all and see where you and your children feel happiest.

Thanks for replying - I've seen a few of the ABC's around - we'll arrange to go and have a look at some. I was a bit confused, as a friend of ours said that all the ABC's went bust, so wasnt sure if they were still in operation! Obviously though, they are!

Yeah they almost did, i think in the end they sold some centres off but kept the busier ones going. From my experience with child care its the centre staff who make a good kindy, not necessarily the name over the door.
Good luck checking them all out,, make sure you check whats included in your fees as some places dont include anything and you have to provide nappies,wipes,food etc
