    hiya and welcome to BIB,
Sunshine coast is quite popular with new migrants some areas more so than others. The only thing you will need to consider is if you have a job at one of the Brisbane hospitals the commute may be too much for you to do on a daily basis.
    Good Luck with everything

hiya i recently moved to brisbane and i am a nurse i have also met a few other english nurses all who commute to various hospitals in the area i suppose the shifts makes it a little easier as they are not always in rush hour traffic which makes a difference for them mostly it takes them about 30 - 40 mins - i used to work in london and commute from epsom so this is not so bad and even better when the sun shines!!

Hi nixter, welcome to BIB, im sure you will find lots of info on the site. We live on Bribie Island its the start of the sunshine coast...... Like others have said it is a fair commute to the Brissy Hospitals......and the Bruce Highway can be a nightmare, but then you may miss it if you are doing shifts........
    Good Luck...
