    Hi welcome to BIB
I have one thing to say
You Lucky Lucky Thing !! lol

Currumbin and Coolangatta are 2 of our favorite places, we go to the beaches there as much as we can (miles better than the other GC beaches)
Hubby wants us to sell here and move that way , its hard because i love living here and we are settled, but if he gets his way we could be neighbours!!lol

Have you got a job there?

The aussies are really friendly and helpful,i am sure you won't have a problem meeting people.
The surf clubs are really popular for socialising and there is lots of little cafe's along the front, dont be scared of starting a conversation, most people will happily chat.

    Hi Mandy

Welcome to Brits in Brisbane. It is beautiful in the area you are planning to move to.

If you come with a positive attitude and an open mind, making friends will be no problem at all. People are friendly, but it takes time to break through the surface sometimes with Australians. It's worth it when you do though and you will have loyal and firm friends.

    Love

    Rudi
