North Lakes is a funny place, some love it , some hate it ! The aussies have nicknamed it 'Little england ' due to the amount of poms moving there, lol. There are some stunning properties on North Lakes but for me its all too squashed in.

    Hi,

I live in North Lakes and my son goes to Bounty Boulevard school. It seems to be a really good school, Ive been helping out and am very happy with my son's teacher and the school as a whole.

Feel free to ask any questions.

Hi we are hopefully moving over when our 457 visa has been approved and we have a 14 year old daughter (Britt) who we need to find a school for. Its not ideal that we are moving when she is this age as she should be going into year 10 over here in September and would have been doing a couple of GCSE's and modular work but it can't be helped and I hope we are not sacrificing her education so far. What is the standard of education out there compared to here? We are not sure where we are going to live but have been given some pointers on forums such as Thornlands and Redcliffe as OH will be working in the Fortitude Valley area and doesn't want to commute by car any further than 45 mins or so. We were given some school names such as Ormiston College, Moreton Bay Girls School, Sheldon College, Redland College, Faith Lutheran and Carmel College. Has anyone got any opinions on these schools? I would like to send her to a nice school where they are caring and friendly as she is very anxious about it and I want her to settle as soon as possible.

Any help would would be really appreciated.

    Thanks
    Raych
