  1. Hi,My family and I are due to arrive in Mundingburra in Jan 2013, my son is 13 and my daughter is 10, hes intending to go to Pimlico school and she is to go to Mundingburra Primary, my wife and I would love to hear from others and may be meet up at sometime as we are new to thearea, we have been in Perth for 7 months and a new job has brought me over here, we hadnt any real idea on what area to move to so we do hope that Mundingburra is a good place to dwell.

We look forward to any responses.

    Thanks

    Hi Steve & Kristy

Good luck with your move to Townsville. Mundingburra is a pretty nice area, very central to everything. You're only a couple of minutes drive to Castletown shopping centre and Stockland where the new Myer store has recently opened. You're also just a short drive from the CBD and the Strand. The Strand has a lovely Rockpool and Riverway has a large lagoon. Wherever you want to go in Townsville you can pretty much get there within a 30 minute drive, its not too big and traffic is never that busy. Pimlico High school has pretty much got the reputation as being the best State High school in Townsville so i'm sure your son will be fine there, not sure about the primary schools though. My son went to Oonoonba primary which i can highly recommend but you wont be in the catchment area for there. There is loads of sports facilities here for the children too.
