Hello all

My wife and I are looking at moving to Sunshine/Brisbane/Gold Coast area and Have read a few negative things about the job market over there.

Is the market as bad as it seems or are there jobs around?

It depends on your job and the location you choose to settle in. The sunshine coast does seem to have less job oppurtunites than say Brisbane ,but again it boils down to what you do more than anything.

Agree with Cal - depends on what you do.

Suggest you get a job first . Try www.seek.com.au. It's the largest job site. Once you get a job you'd know where to look for accommodation/schools (if applicable) etc as well. Many companies do SKYPE interviews these days so you don't have to come over frequently to try to get a new job.
