I became a member of this site ages ago but drifted away becasue there was little feedback on posts, but I thought I would check in again and things have moved on.

Just wondering if anyone else is moving anywhere but Brisbane in qld.

Noticed the site is a qld forum but called Brits in Brisbane.

I am a member of PIO so recognise a lot of you.

Do I have to leave if i'm not going to Brisbane lol x

 

Go on then we will let you stay !!lol,,we have only just started moderating this forum and already we have a few new members so hopefully it will take off ,after all PIO used to be like this a couple of years ago.Where in Qld are you moving to?

Hi Cal well initially we are going to Cairns to see whats happening up there its been a long road to get to this point and many minds changed.

May still move on but I owe it to myself to give it a look if I didnt I would always been wondering what if. It was always my first choice but wondered whether there would be work for OH we have been assured there is.

As Cal says the site is starting to pick up now, i'm sure us Brisbane bound/dwellers wont hold it against you if you arent actually going to live there!

I think Cairns would be too hot for me ,thats why i like it here hot but not unbearable,we said wed go to caboolture when we arrived and here we are at the opposite end of brissy so i can fully understand what you mean,lol

Looking at brisbane now too

We were initially thinking Adelaide but think QLD is our best bet now as there will be more work for me and i think the climate might suit me a little better too, don't like the idea of temperatures being similar inside and outside in the winter.Brrrr

Anyway we wondered what areas there are in QLD that are good with quality but not too price housing etc, we do not particularly want to live in the city or by the sea but would like to be close enough, i will probably have to commute to the city.

Any suggestions of suburbs would be greatly recived we are visiting in May and staying in Coolangatta and have a brother in law in Toowamba so will make a trip there but anything else u feel we should be seeing/doing please can u let me know.

Hiya have a look around here Jimboomba ,we are under an hour to the beach or to the city if you need to go ,property is still reasonable and as we are classed as semi rural there is both urban and acerage style living.I too want to go and see Toowoomba ,hubby was offered a job there but we thought it was a bit to inland for us.
