Hello,

We moved from Adelaide, where we have lived for the last 5 and a half years, to Brisbane on 1st April. We have been looking at suburbs to buy in and we're now really confused.

Does anybody live in, or have opinions on Mount Cotton? We also looked at Windaroo today which is closer to OH's work in Yatala but we're worried it might feel a bit isolated.

I can't comment on Windaroo, because I don't know it, but Mount Cotton is lovely. We live very close to there and have very good friends living there. It has a nice feel about it, although you would have to shop elsewhere - probably Victoria Point, as there are no major shops there. The school is ok there too.

Good luck finding somewhere to live. If you end up in Mount Cotton, please give me a shout and we can meet for a cuppa sometime.

Hi,

We are moving to Mount Cotton in a few weeks time. It is beautiful there, with Sirromet Winery on your doorstep. Just 15 mins from the freeway. The area is developing with some nice developments in keeping with the area. I believe that the infrastructure as regards shops and transport there will grow over the next few years.
