Hi can anyone tell us if migration companys are worth the money they charge ? Do they actually do anything you couldnt do yourself and if so which are the best to go with ?? thanks

 

I think migration agents are definately worth it if your case isnt straight forward, there are quite a few people that have done it without an agent, I think most agents offer a free 15 minute chat also...its worth ringing around afew if only for advice.....Good luck

Im with Claire on this, we used an agent and it was a great help, they are there to answer any questions, advise step by step what to do (and how to present it) and double check everything before its submitted. Even though you learn and pick things up as time passes, if i had to apply all over gain ,i would still use an agent.

We are going to use GoMatilda. Have had initial contact seemed very helpful and nice. Will be using them after hubby passes(!) skills test. I used the tick tally method from people who had been succesful with their visas and then asked a few questions on another forum, they also seemed to be in the middle on price too. Hope this helps a little.

Hi there.... I am using the australian migration consultants www.amvisas.com .They have been great so far,i am taking the skills test in febuary,if i was going it alone,i would have to wait until august,i would recommend using an agent as i know a few that have made mistakes and have had problems.....Des.

 

Visas

I have just received my visa and it took 13mths in total. I used a visa company based in Oz as you dont have to pay the tax on the costs, as they are offshore. I would highly recommend them as mine was really informative and responded to any questions I had by email. The company I used was www.thisisaustralia.com.
