Hi fellow Brits!!

I've just recently moved to Brisbane with my boyfriend. He's been working around Australia and the South Pacific for several years now on and off and I only arrived in Australia in February. I did a little bit of travelling around and we have now settled in Brisbane.

We both absolutely love it here but would be great if we could broaden our social life a little and meet some nice people! We're both in our early 30's and are very sociable and friendly people!

If anyone knows of any social events we could come along to and start integrating a little that would be great! :biggrin:

How are you settling in? We've been here about 4 months and to be honest it's been a bit of a slow start, but we're finally finding our feet and really love the city - just waiting for that lovely hot weather to kick in!

I work in the cbd - if you fancy meeting up for a coffee one lunch time let me know.

Thanks very much for your email. We're settling in okay now... Working and everything but still just trying to get to the stage where it all feels like home! Loving Brisbane though, it's such a lovely city and like you, I can't wait for the summer weather to kick in! Although I'm sure I'll be the first one complaining when it's too hot!!

Unfortunatley I don't work in the CBD, I work up in Sumner but we live quite close to the city and quite often drink in the Pig & Whistle pubs around. If you fancied meeting up one Sat lunch time or evening that would be great.

Did you make it to Ekka at all this week? I loved having a bank holiday Wednesday!!
