    Hi cal,

it’s been nice out here, around 21c today and supposed to warming up through the week, but..... They are forecasting a cold spell next week with temp dropping down to 13c. I am trying to get all the hard gardening work done out here before it gets too warm, then I can relax during the Summer. I am told its quiet here in the summer, not many tourists who want to visit us in the summer heat.

Hmmm. Note to myself, get aircon serviced!!!!!!

Hehe - spot the people who've been in Brisbane for a while!! 2 weeks 'till we leave Blighty, and today was "a return to the hot weather" (it hit 19C!). Metro newspaper ran a story today that there's a late heatwave on the way - temperatures in the south may go as high as 23C!

Out of interest, how long did it take you guys to get used to the different weather (and the humidity)?

    Hi Borny

I arrived June last year into Brisbane. Temp was about 5c at night and 20c during the day and I thought it was great, after living on the coast for 12 months with temperatures hovering around 30c during the summer I soon began to feel chilly in the autumn when temperatures dropped to 20 and below. After you have been here 12 months you will be moaning about the temperature dropping to below 20

The humidity did not bother me, I lived on the coast and the breeze coming from the Pacific kept the humidity at bay most of the times.

    Hi Borny

We will have been here 4 years in November.
The humidity has never really bothered me, yes you get a few weeks normally around xmas when you think,,OMG im going to cook, lol but its the cold that gets me more. June, July and August can be nippy especially before 10 am and after 5pm.
I used to laugh when we arrived and people said you will be cold in winter, lol, i thought it would take us years to feel the cold again but alas it took 7 months, lol,,and thats when the wood heater arrived, lol.
