Hi iam a newbie to the site,
iam coming in as a cook but can't seem to find jobs in that field are there any? or iam i looking in the wrong places lol:err:,my oh is a factory supervisor in manufacturing so he can drive fork trucks etc are there jobs available for him too?
we can't decide between Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide any advice??

hello

look at www.seek.com.au. If you dont see bakers jobs advertised dont worry too much as i always see those jobs in the local papers. As for your hubby well forklift jobs are easy to get although you may find he has to take casual work to begin with but usually they turn into permanent jobs. These jobs are easy to get in Melbourne or Brisbane but cant say for sure in Perth or Adelaide. Have read other peoples posts and it seems work is harder to come by in Adelaide.

look at www.careerone.com and www.byronemployment.com.au if they are the incorrect addresses just google byron employment or careerone.
Adelaide would have less jobs as not such a big place but i am sure these sites will give you an idea. We are moving to Brisbane and if you need any help just shout. We will be there at the start of Nov.

i will look at them, i think we are looking more into the idea of brisbane now i get i good feel for it,hopefully we will be out there next october so it will be great to keep in touch and let me know how your experince is going and pass on any tips.

Wooloworths and Coles ,our 2 big supermarkets nearly always have signs up for bakery staff,they have their own websitess with vacancies on there ,you can also sign up with your details and they send anything you may be interested in straight to you. Good luck with everything,its very difficult to secure work from the UK.

thanks for that i will have a look on web site. iam also going to the leeds expo in october so hopefully with cv in hand i will be able to oine a few things up fingers crossed.i will keep you posted.
