Hi everyone,

My name is April and the OH is Richard, we live in Gillingham in Kent and are hoping to move over to Brisbane next August. Fingers Crossed.

Our agent has said that I have a 99% chance of getting my Spouse Visa, but really won't know for another six or so weeks or so. Our application was submitted last Friday!

Just wanted to say Hi to you all.

six weeks is a bit optomistic ,my application was received july 26th and I only got a reply two weeks ago .I am not expecting the visa to be finalised until febuary .
we are hoping to move over in may

Thanks for your reply, I thought that 6 weeks would be too good to be true. But as long as it comes i don't mind.

We are planning to start of in the redland bay area .We are taking our dogs with us so will have to collect them from sydney after quarantine ,so the plan is to hire a camper van and drive down to pick them up then spend a week or so exploring on the way back .
But everything depends on how well we sell the house .

Hi Mark,

I work for Avon Cosmetics' here in the Uk, I have been told that it should be fairly easy for me to get a transfer to Oz. This may sway our decision on where we actually settle.

My hubbie is a builder with is own business which we will keep going, but hoping he will find work there.

Avon here is good for suncreams and repellants,i think they are a bit behind with scents but price wise still ok.Lots of new housing estates being built so as a rep you should have lots of oppurtunites,,
