i'm contemplating a house share as my first place and wondering if anyone can offer some advice.

it seems like a good idea, if i get on with the other people it might be a good way of making friends and getting to know the place.

    cheers

    Hi n00dlz,

If your young and single I would imagine it to be a great way of settling in, it would work out cheaper and as you say if you get on with the others then you could have instant friends and guides to your new life. I would think that it would also help when you decide to get a place of your own as you should be able to get a reference. The obvious disadvantage would be if you hated the people you share with and end up struggling to find somewhere else to live.
