  1. Just to say Hi from Phil, Deb and Brad.

We moved to the Sunshine Coast last November. My husband has settled really well and has found a job that he seems happy with.
My 15 year old son gets very bored and misses his mates, football and social life back home. He is starting with a local football team shortly so hopefully that will get him settled.

I am not sure what to make of Australia myself, I find that I miss my friends, family and social life. I miss the girls (all hit 40 but like to think we are girls) meet ups every week and having a good laugh, chat and drink. Seems like I have gone from a busy life to doing absolutely nothing.

But I dont want to be negative as I havent really given it enough time yet. Just gotta see what time brings.

    Hi :)
I came out to the Sunshine Coast in August and felt pretty lost for a while too..Whereabouts are you living..I am moving to Beerwah in the next 2 weeks so its a bit more central to the SC for us...We have 2 kids with us and 2 we left behind in England (friends far more important) I am hitting 42 this year and need a good practice for my party in June...
We really do need to arrange a meet up for the Sunshine Coasties..I know a couple of peeps already wanting to go..
    keep smilin :)

We are renting in Buddina at the moment but although it is very nice and near the beach, we are finding it a bit too quiet so are gonna maybe look at other areas nearby.

I am definately up for a Sunshine Coast meet up. Let me know where and when and we will be there. It will be great to get together and meet some new people.

Also, would love to come along to the Gold Coast meet up on the 23rd Feb. Will there be other teenagers there, I think my son is getting fed up with our company and would prefer some company of his own age.
