Just wanted to say a big hi to everyone!!

We are new to the forum and were wondering if anyone could give us a quick run down on good/bad areas to live in around Brisbane.

We have our visas already and are just waiting for our house to sell here in the UK before we can finally move to the sunshine!

We need an area which is not the most expensive, but would be a good area to bring up our young Son, good transport links and kindergarten etc...

We have never been to this area before so any advice you can pass on is much appreciated.

Hope to join you all there soon, the Brewers x

    Hi,
We live in Rochedale south and have never experienced any trouble in our neighbourhood.
It is far enough away from the city to be not expensive - it's actually in Logan Council area. (Not Logan Ctr tho as Cal mentioned). I too would avoid Woodridge and Ipswich.

We are right on the Pacific Highway (As close as you can get without having to listen to it all day)
Buses here are very good into the city. There is a bus way all the way to the city from 8 mile plains. = No traffic just buses allowed - very handy let me tell you!

There are some schools but can't say much - no kidz you see!

    Good Luck
