    Welcome to BIB

I am sure you will love it here and i see from your other postings that you come from Scotland, we have a few members from your "neck of the woods" so I am sure you will soon get invited to a get together. I think you will love the Gold Coast. I presume where you finally end up renting will depend on where you can find work, but there are some loverly areas all around.

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have and I am sure someone will know the answer or tell you where to find information.

Good luck with the move, and we expect to hear updates from you on how you are settling in:biggrin:

Hi Simon and welcome to BIB
Starting life here can be tough, but you have to plod on regardless as it does get easier with time. I guess the hardest thing you will have to do on arrival is sort out your QLD electrical licence,,, good luck as it can test your patience especially if your not aware of what awaits you.

    Hi Rudi

We have arrived and have found temp accomodation we are trying to find jobs and perm accom, our boys have started school in strathpine so at least they are starting too settle in we have met old friends that stay in the area so we think it would be better to settle around that area.
Im starting up as a self employed carpenter and leanne is going through interviews so if you know anyone that needs a carpenter i would be happy to quote any work.

What do you do for work ? and where are you based ?
