Hello, Myself and family are moving to Brisbane in July 2010.
I have a chance of a good job in Acaia Ridge and need to find an area witin an hour and a half ish of the office. We have visited the Sunshine coast many times and love Caloundra. The travel time on Google map looks like 1 hour 55 mins. Dose any one do a similar journey?
We possibly will have to move South side after 3 months so could anyone recommend an area preferably to the East of the city towards the coast.

    Thanks in advance,

    Steve 40, Kelly 40, Katie 15 and Lewis 11

    Hi Steve and Kelly

Welome to the forum. Whilst Caloundra is a lovely place, it would be a terrible journey to have to do every day to and from Acacia Ridge I think.

How about the Bayside area? That would be the ideal area to be, next to the water and within 30 to 40 minutes from Acacia Ridge. I would be looking along the coast at suburbs such as Redland Bay, Victoria Point, Thornlands, Cleveland and Wellington Point. All of them are great suburbs with good schools. Cleveland and Wellington Point are on the trainline into the city.

There are good schools in these suburbs and plenty for kids and familys to do.

I hope that helps a bit.

    Love
