    Hi Claire

i am not much good with costs of schools , but I thought bumping this up may get it noticed. Also are you a member of our parent site Poms In Oz, we have a lot of members there who could possibly help you

The GC covers such a big area i think youd get more reccomendations if you could narrow down which part,i.e- North, South, Hinterland, Central etc

I know Varsity Lakes school has a great reputation but because of this carries a very tight catchment area. Varsity Lakes is quite near to Robina for its shops, train links etc so not a bad area at all.

Hi Claire, I live on the Gold Coast northern suburbs. I don't know anything about public schools but a little about private schools up this way. There is in our area Jubilee at pacific pines I have heard mixed reviews but I know from personal experience the office staff are not exactly polite, Coomera Anglican school is quite good very academically driven though one of my friends is afraid to take her daughter out for even a day it is quite hard to get into though. Livingston Christian college at Ormeau is a new school still a bit small but seems to have good reports. They also have their own fleet of buses and will travel to most areas of the coast. A.B Patterson I have heard is also a good school but people seem to have trouble getting help for their children if they are a little behind. I went to st Hilda's in southport and never had a problem there but it has been awhile since I graduated. I hope that was any help to you. Let me know if you think I can help any further.
