Please help......

Does anyone know of any short term rentals on North Lakes or how I would go about finding one? I have 2 children enrolling into the State College in Nov 08 and it would be much easier for us if I we could get short term let there until we find a longer term rental.

Hi, we're in the same boat, we fly out on 3rd Nov and we've booked a holiday apartment in Redcliffe for the first 4 weeks; which should tide us over while we look for a more permanent home. The guys on here are bound to very helpful, although we found our holiday let through this link

Good luck with the move, we are only 2 weeks behind you....I bet your more organised than we are, we still haven't managed to sort out the shipping of your goods, some of those removal companies have been driving me crazy. We only have a few bits to ship too, yet they seem to want to charge the earth!

 

We shipped 18 boxes over with Crown ,pretty sure it was around 800 GBP,seems a lot but when your stuff arrives its priceless,lol, excess baggage are another company who used to be reasonably priced for sending small amounts,good luck

Organised??

I don't know about orgnised, there always seems so much to do. We plan to send out our belongings with 'Voovit', we've been quoted about £300 for 10 boxes, but you do have to pick them up from the Brisbane Port when they arrive.
With a baggage allowance of 40kg each with Singapore Airlnes, we will also be taking a great deal personal stuff on the flight, pity we can't take the dog the same way - that's the next thing to sort out.
