Hi Colin, 2 years ago i could have kept you in buisness! lol, we had a nightmare with our pool when fitted , thankfully i found a pool shop willing to help me understand everything and also joined Zodiacs pool school on line, the only thing i have issues with now is ducks!! any advice ? (i have tried the crocodile, no more ducks liquid etc and am ready to get out the shotgun! lol)

    Hi cal,

Unusual no more ducks dosent work. Its pretty good normally.
One you dont mention is duckoff. Havent used it but worth a try before the shotgun. (feathers in the filter would be a bugger to clean) lol
These products need water to be well balanced for them to work.
I would check water PH and TA and also Chlorine level needs to be 2+.

    Good luck

Yep done the Duckoff too, it isnt too bad in the fact they wont swim with Duck stuff in so phospahates are not getting too high, but its bloody annoying when they poo all over the tiles! lol I have to keep scraping that up in case it rains and washes in!
Duckoff also irritates my daughters eyes so really not looking forwards to summer at all if they are still around.
Everyone said buy a crocodile they are scared of them ,so i did and came home to find them swimming with him!!! pmsl!

I have seen some pools with rubber snakes poolside too.
Apparantly this makes ducks wary so they stay away.
The way the products work is as follows.
The product humanely disolves the down in their feathers so the pool water reaches their skin which they dont like. They associate getting wet with that particular pool and keep away. If all the products you are trying are not working i would suggest your water is unbalanced hence the products are not working. Its the same with Chlorine. If the water is unbalanced the Chlorine dosent work as well. Algae sometimes wins the battle, hence green pools.

    Regards

    Colin
