We will be going over to Brisbane late august this year. Our 457 Visas got approved today and I am on an internal work transfer so things were easier for me.

Where are you looking to live, our son Jacob (5) is possibly attending school in Toowong and I am working in the CBD so will be looking around that area when we get over there.

Husband has just returned from trip to meet new employers, he loved it so 457 has been lodged last week and hoping to move in mid october. I have Abbie who is 5 and very excited about all things Oz and Finlay 3- not sure he understands any of it... apart from there are lots of spiders!!
I ended my job in July as a teacher so am now spending my time beginning to sort- so much to do--- I have filled 10 binbags so far and am beginning to sell on ebay. We are panicing over selling big things like caravan car and renting the house- I am quite excited about having to consume all our alcohol before we go!!!
Have you looked into shipping etc???? I feel the need to ship early to avoid having too much time without there- OH job providing 6 weeks accommodation. Also I darent book anything until we know for definate the visa has been approved - fingers crossed.

Would be interested to see what point you are upto it would be nice to have someone in the same boat!!!
