Please don't laugh but do people suffer much from hayfever? My 14 year old daughter suffers terribly over here at the beginning of summer which spoils things for her so was hoping, although I suppose it won't be different as all grass has to seed, that it would be different somehow over there.

Really sorry, but people get hayfever here too!! It's a case of taking tablets every day when the pollen is around to keep the sniffles away.

Hay fever is a real bummer, I've had it all my life. The real good thing about Brissy is that you will probably get no hayfever in the winter, and the winter here is gorgeous weather.... loads of sunny days. I tend to suffer a longer season here than in the UK but to a lesser degree. The pills help though :err:

  5. Yes, people do get hayfever here too, but not from the same pollens. I used to have a terrible time in summer, while living in Europe, and my son had asthma-like symptoms. It's all but a distant memory now as we never needed any anti-hystaminics or puffer since we arrived. I put this down to being sensible to particular pollens found in Europe but not in Queensland. We may just have been lucky, but I hope it's going to be the same for you!
