Now that I have your attention :)tongue:)

Does anybody know what the great big, giant golf ball is that you can see from Springfield ?????

My kids want to know, they have asked many people and get answers ranging from, water tower, early warning station, observatory.......... most people just don't know.

I reckon it could be out at Amberley, but don't know for sure.

If anyones knows it will save me getting the same question every time we see it... ha ha ha - thanks

Found out what it is - if anyone else has been wondering it is a weather tracking station. Apparently they do the satalite photos from there for this area

I grew up in Redbank Plains, and still live there, my hubby from Leeds asks me regularly what that golf ball thing is and i've never been able to answer him. I can now!! Thanks.

I live in Brentwood, next to Brookwater and see that thing everyday. And, yes it is a weather Radar transmitter.
