Can anyone tell me where to emigate to in Brisbane to be near a good Pub / club:wink:

 

There are "taverns" and "clubs" wherever you go. We live in Sinnamon Park and we are near a Lions Club, RSL clubs (like Working man clubs) plus we live near three taverns!

 

Sounds better than Perth where you are very lucky to be able to walk to one pub. A junior football (sorry soccer)club with a bar would be perfect if anyone has any clues it will probably decide where we live as you can drive to work and beach but not pub.

 

Hi there, my first post on here - funny it's about pubs and beer! We went to an English pub that's opened recently up Tamborine Mountain called the Fox and Hounds. I think the owner's from Wolverhampton and moved his old pub over to Oz in containers virtually. The pub is chockers at the weekend and booked out for food (they do Sunday roast with yorkies, curries etc). They could do with a wider selection of beers (British and Oz) but it's early days and they are doing great stuff. Even if you can't afford to live near the pub as I think Tambo is a bit exy it's still great for a day out to drive up the mountain and then have a spot of lunch and a beer at t'pub.

 

fitzy ,i believe they do a good curry night on thursdays too ,but you have to book in advance as its packed out,,if your near that way The Bearded Dragon is another place with half decent food and has loads of stuff happening for kids(and big kids)at weekends and holidays like cane toad racing etc,

Hey there, I am new so be gentle with me! We're moving over to Brisbane next year but my friend lives over there and went to the Fox and Hound a week or two ago. Her feedback was 'good old English grub'!
