Well, it's been a crazy year beginning with our reccie mission to Melbourne and Perth in February. Subsequently offered a position in Melbourne, and three in Perth but strangely enough decided upon a job in Brisbane :err:

Accepted the job offer in July and was initially going on a 121 visa but timescales were dragging on and, as such, we decided to jump onto a 457 which was granted early November.

Now flights have been booked for 07 January 2011 so it will be a new life for myself, my lovely wife and our 2 year old son. Initially staying in Fortitude Valley (company appartment) before moving to one of the inner suburbs for a year or so to find our feet, before finally moving out to a more modern area. Obviously that's the best laid plan at present but we all know what happens with best laid plans.......

Good luck - for what its worth, I think Brissie has a lot more on its doorstep to offer than Perth - especially if you dont mind driving to the fabulous beaches north or south of the city.:smile:

 

Hope it all goes well. We are also Glasgow to Brisbane. Should land a couple of months after you if all goes well.

Thanks have gone really fast. Two interviews in two days with a contract straight after the second. Start date of 28/3/11 with visa agent provided by my employer. Can't wait but a lot to do!

Glasgow is going to be empty at this rate DeMontfort!
