    Hi,

Have you looked at Seek.com it one of the more popular job sites.

SEEK - Australia's no. 1 jobs, employment, career and recruitment site

A lot of places will not show any interest until you are in Australia or near to arriving, they like to know you are available to work.

If you send off your CV to any prospective employers, they like to see a covering letter in Australia that briefly describes your past work history. From this they then normally decide if its worth reading the CV. So make any covering letter interesting, you want them to think "I have to look at this CV" .

Good luck with the job hunting

    Any luck?

    Hi there Niall
My name is Gary and I also have 17yrs experience as a joiner 1st fix to finish. My family and I are coming out in October and wondered how you have found getting a job. It'll be right fine not having to dig the van out of 2ft of snow in the morning or have my hands stick to frozen scaffold!!!!
    Cheers Gary
