Are there any areas in Brisbane that are more prone to flooding than others? I only ask because we had terrible flash flooding here in England (August 2007) and from the World news it looked similar in some areas of Brisbane last August as well!

 

Quite alot of areas were flooded last year in brisbane when we had the unexpected rainfall ,the highway into jimboomba where we live being one of them ,thankfully its a known flood plain so there are no houses there! if you do a google search of the courier mail or its likes you should find all the info ,nowere id say is to be avoided because of this ,its a rare occurance,thankfully very few familys were caught in the floods and im pretty sure the only accidents or fatalities were cars being swept away in flooded rivers,hope this helps a little
