    Hi

Just wanted a bit of clarification on driving in Queensland. I have a book which is very unclear and left me a little confused. I hold a UK driving licence, am I able to drive straight away? Do I need to do anything extra to be able to drive in another country? I have conflicting information and have read something about a 'grace' period, I have read other things about changing your licence and other about doing nothing. Could anyone please clear this up for me?

    Thanks in advance

    Marie

But you may as well get one anyway - it doesn't take any time, you don't need a test and its always usefull to have photo ID with your address

We were told only 3 mths on our 457 visa for our UK license.

We both got aussie licences, as soon as we could, you just go pay and get one, its really easy. We just went to the local transport place.

My son has started driving here, since we have lived here, so now has a aussie license (learners)
