  1. Hi

I wondered how practical it is to cycle to the train station (2 or 3 miles), leave the bike at the train station and then commute in to the CBD? Of course I'd like a 5 minute walk to the station but I'd imagine we'd be lucky to achieve this or we'll pay a premium for the proximity to the station.

I bike in at home but I have the benefit of changing facilities / showers at work. As it's unlikely my new employer will have the same and with the humidity I can't see how even a 10 minute ride isn't going to start working up a sweat!

We are actively trying to be a one car family in Oz!

    Thanks

I think alot would depend on what time you commute and the time of year. Cycling is quite popular here so plenty do it.

Where are you going to cycle from/to ?
There are lots of bike tracks that will get you right into the city
VERY HOT last few days so you would probably prefer the air con car/train.
Make sure your workplace has shower as is a must for summer riding to work. There is a good bike/bus centre at thje RBWH herston
