We went up to Cooktown over the weekend for the Cooktown Discovery Festival. The Festival celebrates and reenacts the first significant contact and reconciliation between European and Indigenous Australians, when Captain Cook landed his ship, the Endeavour in June 1770 for repairs.

Cooktown is located around 4 hours from us, 330km North of Cairns. We've been to Cooktown twice in the last month and have really enjoyed visiting on both occasions.

I've included some snaps below from the weekends reenactment and some general snaps of the Endeavour River.
